For more than 20 years, the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District’s Summer Sports Camp - proudly sponsored by the Athletic Department and the Oyster Bay Athletic Booster Club - has been a highlight of summer break. But one of its most beloved programs year after year? Project Adventure Camp.

Led this summer by coach Erin Murcott and hosted at Oyster Bay Middle/High School, Project Adventure is a dynamic, week-long experience for students in grades 3–7. Each day brings a new set of games, challenges and team-building activities that keep campers engaged, active and having fun.

The week ends on a high note with the always-anticipated Battle of the Colors, where campers are split into five teams (wearing different colored shirts) to create posters, perform skits and compete for best in show. It’s a celebration of creativity, teamwork and friendly competition that captures the spirit of the program.

Coordinated by Jen Iles and Elaine Ranaldo, the full Summer Sports Program continues to offer Oyster Bay students affordable, high-quality instruction across a wide range of sports and activities. Beyond learning new skills and staying active, campers get to meet and work with many of the Varsity and Junior Varsity coaches they may one day play for - building lasting connections from a young age.

Now in its 21st year, the Summer Sports Program remains a cornerstone of the OBEN community, helping students grow, connect, and thrive - all while having fun.
