District-Wide School Safety Plan

Pursuant to Commissioner's Regulation, Section 155.17 (e)(3), a summary of the plan is made available annually, at least 30 days prior to its adoption by the Board of Education. SPIN Sex Offender Registry Notification

The Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District receives SPIN notifications from the Nassau County Police Department regarding the existence of registered sex offenders within the boundaries of the District.

The Police Department can release information on Level 3 (high-risk), Level 2 (moderate-risk), and Level 1 (low-risk) offenders. While the exact address on Level 3 and Level 2 offenders can be provided, the law provides that only ‘an approximate address based on zip code’ can be provided for Level 1 offenders.
