The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District is committed to providing the highest quality education to all students. Our District strives to promote in students an understanding of their obligations to develop and use their abilities to their highest potential. In our multicultural community, our primary goal is to have our students acquire the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and values necessary to contribute productively to their careers and to society.

Knowing that education is a continuous process, we are proud of the important roles our professional staff, local businesses, and community organizations play in the quality of life in our school environment. We are unique in that we are one of the smallest school districts on Long Island. As a result, we are able to provide individual attention to each student while also offering an opportunity for all students to participate in extensive academic, athletic, and co-curricular programs.

One of the most important decisions you will ever make is choosing a new home and neighborhood in which to raise your family. Two important considerations in this decision are the quality of the local school district and the dynamics of the community.

We, the Board of Education and the District Superintendent, are committed to supporting all that is necessary to prepare our students for the future. We invite you to visit and see for yourself the nurturing environment our schools and community have to offer.

Meetings

The Board of Education live-streams its meetings on YouTube. All meetings of the Board of Education are open to the public and are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Meetings are usually held in the Oyster Bay High School Auditorium. The District calendar lists the specific dates. Meetings begin at 7:30 pm. Most meetings include an Executive Session, which is not open to the public. During the public portion of the Board of Education meetings, however, time is planned for comments and questions from residents in attendance. The Board encourages community participation. Any questions or comments to the Board of Education may be emailed to District Clerk by 5 p.m. the Monday preceding the meeting.

As of February 8, 2022, BoardDocs is used to access the Board of Education meeting agendas, minutes, and presentations.
