Degrees and Certifications:
Suprabha Malhar-Jain, teaches Computer Science & Technology at Oyster Bay High School. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Physics from Mumbai University in India. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has gained other certifications in software development.
After an exciting career of 12 years in the Software industry as an Analyst/Programmer, Ms. Malhar entered the field of education. She completed her Master's in Teaching from SUNY Stony Brook and started her career as Science & Technology educator with NYC schools for 3 years. She joined the Oyster Bay East Norwich Schools in 2015.
Ms. Malhar has been instrumental in initiating OBEN's STEM Night, a community wide coding event held every December. She has also been involved in building the High School's technology education program by offering exciting courses in networking and computer science. She coaches Oyster Bay's LEGO Robotics team, "Jedis of the Bay" and is our High School Innovation Specialist, supporting instructional technology for our faculty and staff.
Ms. Malhar-Jain is very excited to work with her students - getting to know them inside the classroom and out!
