Lydia Brady

Mrs. Brady teaches Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, English 12, Essay Writing for College, and English 11H.  She attended Stony Brook University, where she received a bachelor's degree in English, a master's degree in public policy, and a master's degree in English education.  Mrs. Brady has been teaching at Oyster Bay High School for over 10 years.  She worked at Stony Brook University prior to joining the faculty at OBHS.  She has served as the advisor of The Harbour Voice and Quill and Scroll.  She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.  Mrs. Brady is dedicated to creating an equitable classroom where students find their voice through writing and unearth the human condition through reading and discussing literature.  She feels blessed to have found her purpose in teaching and hopes that all of her students feel pushed, encouraged, and supported.
