    Geo Bee Maps Out Success at Vernon

    Sixth-grade students at James H. Vernon School tested their knowledge of places around the world when they participated in a preliminary round of the National Geographic Geography (Geo) Bee, Jan. 25. The contest, open to students in grades 4-8, aims to spark students’ interest in geography, reinforce classroom geography lessons, and increase public awareness about the subject.

    Fundraising efforts for the YOLO Strong Foundation are underway by Oyster Bay High School’s chapter of National Junior Honor Society with hopes of exceeding its current fundraising goal of $4,000.
