November 'Athletes of the Month' Announced
Oyster Bay High School’s Department of Athletics proudly announces its November selections for “Athlete of the Month.” Athletes are selected by their coaches and chosen for exhibiting qualities that make them exemplary role models for their teammates, such as leadership, dedication, attitude, level of improvement, and skill.
Vernon Takes On A Really 'Gourd' Project
What do Albert Einstein, Dr. Seuss and Captain Underpants have in common? They were all part of an autumn library project using one of the most seasonal gourds—the pumpkin! Students throughout James H. Vernon Elementary School had the opportunity to embrace their creativity and transform a pumpkin into the bust of their favorite book character, fictional or historical.
Fall Drama Brings Intensity to the Stage
Oyster Bay High School took the Greek tragedy, Antigone, from the “page to the stage” on Friday, Nov. 16 in the high school auditorium. The play was presented as this year’s fall drama in a joint venture between the English Language Arts Department and the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
