    He's a National Merit Finalist & News 12 Scholar-Athlete!

Oyster Bay High School senior Sahill Yadav raised the bar on student achievement when he received back-to-back honors that recognize him as one of the most promising students in the country.

Sahill, who is class valedictorian and has a 4.0 grade-point-average, was named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program, an accomplishment that places him among an elite group of students positioned for the chance to win one of 8,300 scholarships worth more than $32 million. Of the 15,000 National Merit finalists, 7,500 scholarship winners will be announced in the spring.

While the honor is exceptional on its own, Sahill’s talents were doubly recognized when he was selected as a News 12 Scholar-Athlete for high academic achievement and athleticism in soccer and track. Sahill was featured on News 12 and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
