    Education is a family business for Christopher Elsesser, Oyster Bay High School’s new assistant principal. Formerly a secondary assistant principal in the Smithtown Central School District, Mr. Elsesser has close relatives who teach or have taught at the elementary and high school levels in Long Island districts, so it seemed natural for him to take a similar path.

  • A Stellar Year for

    National Merit Honors


    Four Oyster Bay High School seniors set a new record for the district and raised the bar on student achievement when they were recognized with honors from the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Senior Sahill Yadav was named a semi-finalist, placing him among 16,000 of the brightest students in the country, and three other students, Terrance Cameron, Nathan Tynan and Jack Wieboldt, were awarded Letters of Commendation in recognition of their high academic promise.
