    Oh, the Places You’ll Go When You Read


    Happiness is spending time with young family members just before bedtime or anytime exploring the wonderful world of reading. Oh, the places you’ll go…  The Spring P.A.R.P. celebration began the first week in March with District Administrators and staff members participating in “Read Across America.” “Read Across America” is an annual event that celebrates reading and commemorates the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as Dr. Seuss, who was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts.  The OBEN Elementary PTA has been recognized as the Nassau Region PTA PARP Award winner for their dedicated PTA unit that promotes literacy for children and their parents and for creating a program to help children learn the joys of reading.     Spring is Here and Music Fills the Air at Oyster Bay High School


    “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown” premiered Off-Broadway in 1967 with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts.  It won the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical.  The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Fine and Performing Arts Department proudly presents their offering of “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown” the weekend of March 24, 25 and 26.  For lucky audience members who purchase tickets for the Sunday Matinee performance scheduled at 2 pm on March 26, the Friends of the Performing Arts Center (The PAC) will be serving up a complimentary Brunch at 12:30 pm in the...
