The Oyster Bay–East Norwich Central School District is committed to providing safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities that support high-quality teaching and learning. Our Buildings & Grounds Department plays a vital role in ensuring that every school environment is healthy, efficient, and fully compliant with New York State Education Department regulations and Board of Education policies. Through proactive maintenance, careful stewardship of district resources, and close coordination with school administrators and community partners, we work each day to create environments where students can learn and thrive. This page offers information about our facilities operations, capital improvements, maintenance services, and the standards that guide our work across the district.

Use of School Facilities

The Oyster Bay–East Norwich Central School District maintains its buildings and grounds first and foremost for the education of our students. In accordance with Board of Education Policy 3260, the District recognizes that its facilities are important community assets and may be made available for approved civic, cultural, recreational, and educational purposes when such uses do not conflict with school programs, disrupt district operations, or interfere with maintenance and capital improvement activities.

Community organizations and groups wishing to use district facilities must follow all district requirements, including application procedures, supervision expectations, insurance provisions, and any applicable fees as outlined in Policy 3260.

Completed applications should be submitted to the Buildings & Grounds Office, located at Oyster Bay High School, or emailed to FacilityUse@obenschools.org.

Applicants are required to review the Use of Facilities Guidelines and Insurance Requirements prior to submitting the Use of Facilities Application to ensure full compliance with district policies and procedures.
