New Pre-K and Kindergarten Students Welcomed at Roosevelt Storytime

Incoming pre-K and kindergarten students at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School received a special welcome this week as Principal Devra Small hosted “Storytime” in the school’s music classroom.
Ms. Small read “Sorry, Grown-Ups, You Can’t Go to School” to Roosevelt’s newest students, helping them get acquainted with their new school before the first day of classes. Parents joined the gathering, which gave children an opportunity to meet future classmates, spend time in the building and begin feeling comfortable in their new surroundings.
The visit offered Roosevelt’s littlest learners a warm introduction to their school community, with plenty of smiles and excitement as they headed home ready for their first day.
