Teachers Take the Court: OBEN's Staff Spike Off Draws a Crowd

On Friday evening, Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District brought its school community together in a spirited, district-wide event – the Oyster Bay Staff Spike Off. Teachers from Theodore Roosevelt Elementary, Vernon School and Oyster Bay-East Norwich Middle/High School squared off on the volleyball court in a friendly but fierce competition that had families cheering from the stands all night long.
The packed gymnasium buzzed with energy as students and parents from all three schools came out to support their favorite faculty members. After a hard-fought series of matches, the OBMHS team emerged victorious, taking home bragging rights for the middle/high school.
The event was organized with the Class of 2027 in mind, with all proceeds benefiting the junior class. Much of the credit for bringing the event to life goes to Mr. Sallie and Mrs. Wink, who worked alongside students to plan and coordinate the evening.
The Spike Off was a reminder of what makes the OBEN community special – a shared sense of pride, connection and fun that extends well beyond the classroom.
