Theodore Roosevelt School’s first graders present donation to Theodore Roosevelt Association

First grade students at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School marked a meaningful milestone on May 5, gathering to present a check to the Theodore Roosevelt Association in support of its Teddy Bears for Kids program. The donation was made possible by first grade families who contributed during the annual Social Studies Night in March.
Running since 1986, Teddy Bears for Kids has delivered more than 90,000 teddy bears to children in hospitals across the country. OBEN’s elementary curriculum associate Jennifer Capogna and Theodore Roosevelt Association Executive Director Chris Cosentino spoke to students about the difference their generosity would make for children in need of comfort.
After presenting the check to Mr. Cosentino, students gathered for a group photo to mark the occasion. The district extends its gratitude to all first graders and their families for their support of this meaningful cause.
