Cavalcade of Choirs Showcases the Power of Music Education at Oyster Bay-East Norwich

The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District recently celebrated one of its most beloved traditions with the annual Cavalcade of Choirs — an evening that was far more than a performance. It was a testament to the transformative power of music education.
With 105 students from grades 5 through 12 taking the stage, the concert offered a moving glimpse into the arc of artistic growth within the district. From fifth graders finding their footing to seniors performing with confidence and poise, the evening captured what happens when young people are given the space — and the support — to find their voices.
March may be officially designated as Music In Our Schools Month, but at Oyster Bay-East Norwich, that commitment runs deeper than a single month on the calendar. Music is woven into the fabric of student life throughout the year, and the Cavalcade of Choirs is one of the most vivid expressions of that dedication.
The district extends its heartfelt gratitude to choral directors Mr. Costidis and Ms. Kozee, whose passion and expertise make evenings like this possible — and whose work with students goes far beyond the stage.
