Oyster Bay-East Norwich Board of Education Reorganizes
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District Board of Education gathered in the Oyster Bay High School Auditorium on July 12 for its reorganization meeting. This special meeting is held each summer to swear in newly elected board members and officers for the upcoming school year.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Francesco Ianni took the oath of office to uphold his superintendent duties in the 2022-2023 school year. In addition, re-elected board members Nancy Castrogiovanni and Maryann Santos were sworn in for another four-year term on the board of education. Both were elected by community residents in May during the district’s annual budget vote.
During the meeting, the board also appointed its officers for the upcoming school year. Laurie Kowalsky and Ms. Castrogiovanni were nominated and selected to serve another year as president and vice president, respectively.
Deputy Superintendent Maureen Raynor took the oath of office as acting district clerk for the new school year, while Linda Ninesling was sworn in as the district treasurer.
