  • Erica Duke is a New12 Scholar Athlete

    She’s a three-season athlete who had her eye on becoming a News12 Scholar Athlete since she learned about the honor as a freshman. Now, Oyster Bay High School senior Erica Duke is living that dream. While practicing social distancing, she accepted an oversized cardboard check for $1,000 from News12’s Sports Director Mr. Kevin Maher, in conjunction with Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and is featured in a News12 segment.

  • OBHS is Grand Champion of Walt Whitman Poetry Contest

    Freshmen at Oyster Bay High School have proven their skills in the art of poetry writing. They were named Grand Champions in the 9th and 10th grade category of the Walt Whitman’s Birthplace Association’s 34th Annual Student Poetry Contest for their poetry anthology “If I Had One More Day…”

  • OBHS Students Participate in Virtual International Trade Fair

    Oyster Bay High School business students in Ms. Tara Beal’s Virtual Enterprise class have a new skill to add to their resumes — conducting online business meetings through Google Meet. The class participated in a virtual International Trade Fair in lieu of the much anticipated live International Trade Fair that the class was preparing to attend in Brooklyn, NY.

  • OBEN Welcomes New K-12 Math Supervisor

    The Oyster Bay East Norwich Central School District welcomes Mr. Jack Bixhorn as K-12 Supervisor of Mathematics. Mr. Bixhorn comes to the District from the Deer Park School District where he served as Associate Principal of Robert Frost Middle School. Prior to this post, he served five years in the East Rockaway Union Free School District, most recently as an Elementary Math Specialist.

  • AD is Named a L.I. Administrator of the Year

    Mr. Kevin Trentowski, Director of Health, Physical Education, & Athletics, was named a Long Island 2020 Administrator of the Year by the Council of Administrators and Supervisors. The award recognizes his achievements and contributions as an effective educational leader.
