1. Spring 2020 Semester:
Spring Driver Education Program update from our driving instruction vendor, East Meadow Driving School:
To all Students attending the 2020 Spring driver education program and their Parents;
We hope that everyone is healthy and safe during this time of crisis.
Be assure that the Spring semester of Driver Education that was started at the beginning of February and suspended in mid-March, will be completed in its entirety. All students will receive full course credit for the time they have completed in the program as well as full financial credit. In other words, to complete the program you will not have to start all over again.
Under NYSED guidelines, all students registered for the Spring semester of Driver Education may complete the Spring course during the Summer semester (July/August), or the Fall semester (September/January). We are also currently working on other options. When more information is available regarding the opening of schools, we will be able to give more definitive information on the startup of operations. When the time comes, students will be contacted directly regarding the changes in the program and their options.
Also be assure that the safety and health of the students is our priority. When the time comes, all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure a safe program.
We have created an email address Obspring20@gmail.com so we can try and provide students & parents answers to questions they may have at this time.

2. Summer 2020
Typically, Summer registration opens in the beginning of June. We hope that this timeline will remain intact for the summer of 2020. Please keep checking this site for updates but know that prolonged school closures may impact the summer session.
General summer information for a typical year:
Classes start after July 4th and operate 5 days a week on an A & B Day schedule with car(driving) and classroom(lecture) classes alternating each day. The class concludes at the end of August. This year's start and end dates are still TBD and will be released in early June.
Lecture and car times are determined by our vendor, who supplies cars and instructors for many schools on Long Island. We will not know our schedule until days before the summer semester begins its first class. Because of this, a refund may be issued if the schedule does not meet a student's needs.
A student may miss up to 3 lecture and up to 3 car sessions, but they must be made up to receive a certificate.
3. Fall Semester
Information about fall semester and schedule will be posted just before the start of the school year. Classes typically begin around September 15th.
