Advanced Placement (AP) World History 10
(Prerequisite: departmental permission, honors criteria) This course is a continuation of the Pre-Advanced Placement World History 9 course. Students are expected to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills and to understand historiography. This course will also instill in students the habits of mind identified by the Advanced Placement program that students will need in order to be successful on the examination. The students will explore the time period 1400 C. E. to the present. This course will prepare students for the Advanced Placement test in May. This course may also be taken by seniors as an elective. Students must pass the Regents examination in Global History and Geography which is given in June (a graduation requirement).
