Suprabha Malhar-Jain, teaches Computer Science & Technology at Oyster Bay High School. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Physics from Mumbai University in India. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has gained other certifications in software development.
After an exciting career of 12 years in the Software industry as an Analyst/Programmer, Ms. Malhar entered the field of education. She completed her Master's in Teaching from SUNY Stony Brook and started her career as Science & Technology educator with NYC schools for 3 years. She joined the Oyster Bay East Norwich Schools in 2015.
Ms. Malhar has been instrumental in initiating the OBEN Night of Code, a community wide coding event held every December. She has also been involved in building the High School's technology education program by offering exciting courses like Unity-3D gaming, Build-a-Droid and Web Programming along with the traditional Networking and AP Computer Science courses. She coaches Oyster Bay's LEGO Robotics team, "Jedis of the Bay".
Ms. Malhar-Jain is very excited to work with her students - getting to know them inside the classroom and out!
