Ms. Kim joined the faculty of Oyster Bay High School this year after teaching for seven years in the New York City Public Schools. She currently teaches reading and writing workshops in English 7 and 8. Ms. Kim received her Bachelor's degree in English from Binghamton University and Master's degrees in English education from Queens College and in TESOL from Hunter College. She advises the middle level literary magazine, Literazzi. She enjoys hiking, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Ms. Kim, whose current favorite book is Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, strives to instill in students a love for writing as well as an openness and respect for multiple perspectives in all areas of literacy.
